Better for the planet, naturally 

Pure silk is naturally biodegradable and sustainable. Unlike cotton (which is produced in ares where there is little rain), silk is produced areas with high rain fall.

The leaves on the Mulberry Trees, that the silk worms eat, sequester huge amounts of carbon from the atmosphere. This translates to a tonne of silk only emitting 34kg of carbon vs 27,680kgs for cotton.

At Mayfairsilk, we also reduce wastage by using our off-cuts for silk face-masks and silk scrunchies.
