Mayfairsilk at The Luxury Network Event Featuring Professor Jimmy Choo
On the 5th of December, 2023, Mayfairsilk had the distinct honour of sponsoring an event that epitomized luxury and elegance: The Luxury Network event at the Penthouse at The Doulton.
This prestigious venue, set against the mesmerizing backdrop of the River Thames and the iconic House of Parliament at Albert Embankment, played host to an evening of high fashion and distinguished company.
As the evening unfolded, guests were treated to an exclusive preview of The Atelier London’s latest fashion creations, a blend of innovation and tradition that left everyone in awe.
The centerpiece of the night was an engaging Q&A session with none other than Professor Jimmy Choo OBE, a name synonymous with high-end fashion and unparalleled craftsmanship. Renowned for designing shoes for the late British Princess of Wales, Diana, among other notable figures, Professor Choo has long been a beacon of inspiration in the fashion world.
In a significant career move in 2017, Professor Choo joined The Atelier as the design and creative director. Moving his focus from the world of exquisite footwear to the realm of wedding dresses and haute couture, he brought a fresh perspective to these garments. To him, a wedding dress is not just a piece of clothing; it represents the dreams, love, and aspirations of every individual who wears it.
A highlight of the evening was the insightful interview conducted by Helena Warren from The Luxury Network. The conversation delved into Professor Choo's journey as a designer, exploring the depths of his passion and giving a glimpse into what the future holds for The Atelier's upcoming collection.
