PILLOWCASE SIZE CHART

Selecting the appropriate pillowcase size is essential to ensure a good fit, for both comfort and aesthetics.

Our pillowcase size chart makes it simple to choose the right fit for your pillows, ensuring a good night's sleep and a well-coordinated bedroom. We offer two different pillowcase sizes to fit most standard and super king-sized pillows.

UK Standard Silk Pillowcase 'Queen' (50 x 75 cm | 20 x 30 in):
This is the most prevalent size in the UK and is suitable for single, double, and king-sized beds. In the USA and Australia, this size is referred to as a 'Queen' pillowcase.

When two standard 75cm long pillowcases are placed side-by-side, they cover the width of a UK king-sized bed (1.5m).

UK Super King Silk Pillowcase 'King' (50 x 90 cm | 20 x 36 in):
This size is commonly used on Super King and Emperor-sized beds in the UK. It is suitable for both Super King and Emperor-sized beds. In the USA and Australia, this size is referred to as a 'King' pillowcase.

When two Super King 90cm long pillowcases are placed side-by-side, they cover the width of a UK Super King bed (1.8m).

Silk care

Your Mayfairsilk® bed sheets will provide many years of enjoyment when you follow these simple care instructions. Due to its natural properties, you will find it requires less frequent washing than cotton bed linen:

Machine-wash in tepid water (< 30ºC / 86ºF) on delicate cycle.
Or, hand-wash in tepid water (< 30ºC / 86ºF).
Use 'delicate' pH neutral liquid detergent without enzymes, designed for silk.
Do not use bleach, whiteners or fabric softeners.
Do not wring or tumble dry.
Place bed sheet between two cotton towels and press gently. Most of the water will transfer into the towels. Remove, reshape and hang/line dry in the shade.
Use handheld steamer to relax creases if required (using silk attachment), or
Iron on low heat inside out whilst still slightly damp to relax creases.
You can dry clean if required (no trichloroethylene).

Delivery and returns

Delivery

Orders placed before 1pm Monday–Friday are normally dispatched the same day, excluding bank holidays.

International orders may be dispatched the next working day during busy periods, as parcels require additional preparation before courier collection.

All delivery estimates are measured from the dispatch date, rather than the order date.

Standard UK mainland: Free tracked DPD delivery on orders of £50 or more; £3.95 below £50. Expected delivery: the next working day after dispatch.
Scottish Highlands and Islands: Free delivery on orders of £90 or more; £12.95 below £90. Estimated delivery: 2–4 working days.
Northern Ireland: Free delivery on orders of £100 or more; £12.95 below £100. Estimated delivery: 2–3 working days.
Jersey, Guernsey and Isle of Man: Free delivery on orders of £180 or more; £19.95 for orders from £120 to £179.99, or £29.95 below £120. Estimated delivery: 2–3 working days.
International: Tracked DHL Express delivery, with free shipping on orders of US$180 or more to the USA and €180 or more to eligible European destinations. Other destinations have different thresholds and charges. Applicable duties and taxes are calculated and paid at checkout.

Returns

Silk pillowcases: Enjoy our 30-night sleep guarantee. Try your pillowcase at home for up to 30 nights; if it isn’t right for you, return it for a refund of the pillowcase purchase price.
Other full-price products: Return within 30 days of delivery, unused, unwashed, unmarked and uncreased, with original packaging in unmarked, resalable condition.
Return postage: You arrange and pay for non-faulty returns to our UK warehouse. If your item is faulty, damaged or incorrect, contact us so we can arrange a solution at no cost to you.
Exceptions: Sale items are excluded from the extended 30-day policy. Gift cards are non-refundable except where required by law. Your statutory rights are unaffected.

Momme (pronounced ‘mom-ee’) measures the weight of silk fabric. A higher number means more silk by weight in the same area of fabric. It is one part of the picture, alongside the fibre grade, weave and finishing.

This fabric is 22 momme, Grade 6A Mulberry silk: a fluid drape, a smooth hand feel and our signature soft matte sheen. Our pillowcases use a separate 25 momme silk fabric.
