What does 22 momme silk mean?

Momme describes silk fabric weight. It is useful when comparing silk of a similar weave, although it is not the only measure of quality. Our cushion covers and shams use 22 momme silk; our sleeping pillowcases use 25 momme. The silk's smooth feel and the design details matter as much as a number on a label.

Keep your silk looking its best

Follow the care label for the piece you choose. Use a detergent suitable for silk, avoid bleach and fabric conditioner, and let it dry naturally away from direct heat.
