UK Standard Silk Pillowcase 'Queen' (50 x 75 cm | 20 x 30 in):
This is the most prevalent size in the UK and is suitable for single, double, and king-sized beds. In the USA and Australia, this size is referred to as a 'Queen' pillowcase.

When two standard 75cm long pillowcases are placed side-by-side, they cover the width of a UK king-sized bed (1.5m).

UK Super King Silk Pillowcase 'King' (50 x 90 cm | 20 x 36 in):
This size is commonly used on Super King and Emperor-sized beds in the UK. It is suitable for both Super King and Emperor-sized beds. In the USA and Australia, this size is referred to as a 'King' pillowcase.

When two Super King 90cm long pillowcases are placed side-by-side, they cover the width of a UK Super King bed (1.8m).

Hand-wash gently or use a delicate machine cycle below 30°C with a pH-neutral detergent designed for silk. Turn pillowcases and covers inside out. Do not use bleach or fabric softener, wring or tumble dry. Press gently between clean towels, reshape and air-dry in the shade.

Moving to a new home I was looking forward to some new bed linen. I bought a satin pillowcase hoping it would do what a silk one does for less, but it was very uncomfortable to sleep on with no temperature regulating qualities. Then I bought sustainable Eucalyptus silk that I found had more chemicals in them than Eucalyptus - a complete chemical shit storm. Just like bamboo silk pillow cases I’d seen in the mall. I next chose a natural but expensive Egyptian cotton pillow case with a high thread count which was very comfortable but did not help my hair feel softer. I would not call linen pillowcases bad, but linen or cotton just does not do what silk pillow cases offer on the tin. So finally in quest to find a pillow case that was comfort combined with hair management, I got Mayfair silk. A satin pillowcase, a cotton pillowcase or any other silk pillowcases made of Bamboo, Eucalyptus wood or similar just do not come close to this pure silk pillowcase from Mayfair Silk - my only regret is that I did not come across this brand earlier.
